More exactly, if you associate SCF files with DNA Baser, the Show Desktop icon in the Task bar will not work any more because its extension is the same as the chromatogram files. I thought it was great, but didn't have one on my newer computer, so I went searching as to how to get one. I came upon the "SHOW DESKTOP alternative", and it works great! I would usually go to desktop by using the windows-"D" shortcut on the keyboard, but having the icon in the quick launch makes it even easier and quicker if your hand is already on the mouse.
